Safety & Supervision Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This Safety & Supervision Policy explains the safety rules, supervision expectations and client responsibilities that apply to SARUN Group rentals, children’s experiences, inflatables, domes, soft play, event installations, equipment and related services.

By booking, receiving, using or allowing guests to use SARUN rental items or experiences, you agree to this policy, SARUN’s Terms & Conditions, Rental Policy and any additional safety instructions provided for your booking.

1. Safety Is a Shared Responsibility

SARUN aims to provide rentals and experiences in a safe and professional manner. However, the client, parents, guardians, event organisers, venue staff and responsible adults must also help ensure that rental items are used safely and appropriately during the booking period.

Clients must follow all written and verbal instructions provided by SARUN before, during and after setup.

2. Adult Supervision Required

Children must be supervised by responsible adults at all times during SARUN rentals, children’s experiences, inflatables, soft play, domes, installations and event setups.

SARUN rental items must not be left unsupervised while in use. The client is responsible for ensuring that enough adults are present to monitor children and guests safely.

3. SARUN Attendants

SARUN may provide or require an attendant for certain rentals or experiences. An attendant may help guide proper use, monitor the rental item, protect SARUN property and support safe operation.

A SARUN attendant is not a babysitter, childcare provider, security officer, lifeguard, medical provider or full event manager unless SARUN specifically agrees to that role in writing.

The presence of a SARUN attendant does not remove the client’s responsibility to supervise guests, children and event participants.

4. Client Responsibility

The client is responsible for:

  • Ensuring that children and guests follow SARUN’s safety rules.
  • Providing adult supervision throughout the booking period.
  • Keeping rental items away from unsafe weather, hazards and misuse.
  • Preventing overcrowding, rough play, climbing, pushing or unsafe behaviour.
  • Ensuring that age, height, weight, guest count or use limits are followed where applicable.
  • Keeping food, drinks, sharp objects, pets and prohibited materials away from restricted rental items.
  • Reporting safety concerns, damage, weather changes or incidents to SARUN immediately.

5. Age, Weight and Guest Limits

Some SARUN rentals or experiences may have age, weight, height, guest count or usage limits. These limits may apply to inflatables, domes, soft play, children’s furniture, specialty installations, props, displays or other rental items.

Clients must ensure that guests follow any limits provided by SARUN. SARUN may stop use of an item if the limits are ignored or if continued use appears unsafe.

6. Children’s Experiences

For children’s events, parents, guardians and responsible adults must actively supervise children. Children should not be allowed to climb on unsafe surfaces, jump where not permitted, push other children, throw items, damage props, misuse equipment or enter restricted areas.

The client is responsible for ensuring that children are grouped appropriately by size, age and activity where needed.

7. Inflatables, Domes and Soft Play

Inflatables, domes, soft play and similar experiences must be used carefully and according to SARUN’s instructions.

The following may be prohibited unless SARUN states otherwise:

  • Shoes on soft play, inflatables or restricted surfaces.
  • Sharp objects, jewellery, pens, pins, scissors or tools.
  • Food, drinks, gum, slime, glitter, confetti or staining materials.
  • Rough play, flips, wrestling, pushing, climbing or overcrowding.
  • Pets or animals inside or on rental items.
  • Moving, deflating, unplugging or adjusting items without SARUN’s approval.

8. Weather and Outdoor Safety

Outdoor use may be affected by rain, wind, lightning, heat, wet ground, mud, flooding, poor drainage, unstable surfaces or unsafe power access.

SARUN may delay, adjust, relocate, stop or refuse outdoor use where conditions are unsafe or likely to damage rental items. Clients must follow SARUN’s instructions immediately if weather or outdoor conditions become unsafe.

More detailed terms may be included in SARUN’s Weather & Outdoor Use Policy.

9. Electrical and Power Safety

Some rentals may require power, extension cords, generators, fans, lighting or electrical equipment. Clients and guests must not tamper with electrical items, cables, plugs, generators, fans or power connections.

Electrical items should be kept away from water, wet ground, rain, spills, children and unauthorised handling. SARUN may refuse or stop use where power access is unsafe.

10. Setup and Collection Safety

Guests, children and pets must stay away from SARUN staff, vehicles, tools, equipment and rental items during delivery, setup, adjustment and collection.

Clients must ensure that the setup area is clear, safe and accessible before SARUN arrives. Children should not play in or around the setup area until SARUN confirms that the item is ready for use.

11. Prohibited Behaviour

SARUN may stop use or remove an item if clients, guests or event participants engage in unsafe or inappropriate behaviour, including:

  • Ignoring safety instructions.
  • Overcrowding or rough play.
  • Climbing, jumping or leaning on items not designed for that use.
  • Moving, pulling, dragging, shaking or dismantling rental items.
  • Using rental items while wet, muddy or unsafe.
  • Allowing intoxicated or disruptive guests to use rental items.
  • Allowing children to use items without adult supervision.
  • Threatening, abusing or disrespecting SARUN staff, attendants or partners.

12. Food, Drinks and Restricted Items

Food, drinks, cake, candy, gum, paint, face paint, slime, glitter, confetti, candles, sharp objects and staining materials may be restricted around certain rental items.

Clients may be responsible for cleaning, repair or replacement costs if restricted items cause stains, punctures, residue, damage or unsafe conditions.

13. Alcohol and Adult Events

Where rentals are used at events with alcohol, the client remains responsible for ensuring that guests use SARUN items safely and respectfully.

SARUN may refuse or stop use where intoxication, unsafe conduct, aggressive behaviour or misuse creates a risk to people, property or rental items.

14. Pets and Animals

Pets and animals are not allowed on or inside SARUN rental items unless SARUN gives written approval.

The client may be responsible for damage, stains, odours, scratches, hair, cleaning or replacement costs caused by pets or animals.

15. Medical Conditions and Special Needs

Clients, parents and guardians are responsible for determining whether a SARUN rental item or experience is suitable for a guest’s age, health, mobility, medical condition, sensory needs or physical ability.

SARUN should be informed in advance if special accommodations, access considerations or safety concerns may affect the setup or use of a rental item.

16. Injuries, Incidents and Emergencies

Any injury, incident, unsafe condition, damage or emergency should be reported to SARUN immediately.

In an emergency, the client or responsible adult should contact emergency services or seek medical assistance as appropriate. SARUN attendants or staff may assist within their role, but they are not medical professionals unless specifically stated.

17. Damage Caused by Unsafe Use

The client may be responsible for damage, loss, excessive cleaning, repair or replacement costs caused by unsafe use, rough play, lack of supervision, prohibited materials, weather exposure, guest misuse or failure to follow SARUN’s instructions.

More detailed terms may be included in SARUN’s Damage & Replacement Policy.

18. SARUN’s Right to Stop Use

SARUN may stop use, remove a rental item, end an experience or refuse continued service where safety rules are ignored, supervision is inadequate, weather is unsafe, equipment is misused, payment is incomplete, the location is unsuitable, or there is a risk of injury, damage or loss.

Refunds may not be available where use is stopped because of client breach, unsafe conduct, lack of supervision, misuse, unsuitable conditions or failure to follow instructions.

19. Venue and Property Rules

The client is responsible for confirming that the venue or property allows SARUN rental items, children’s activities, inflatables, domes, soft play, electrical items, generators, attendants or other requested services.

SARUN is not responsible if a venue changes its rules, refuses setup, limits use, requires removal or imposes additional safety requirements.

20. Safety Instructions May Be Item-Specific

Some rental items may have additional item-specific safety rules. SARUN may provide these rules before booking, during setup, on signage, through written instructions or verbally.

Item-specific instructions form part of this Safety & Supervision Policy and must be followed.

21. Changes to This Policy

SARUN may update this Safety & Supervision Policy from time to time as rental items, safety practices, services, staffing, equipment and business operations develop.

The updated version will be posted on this page with the latest “Last updated” date.
